It all began with a napkin. Perhaps it was the chance that in May 2004 appeared after a family conversation what was called the napkin: “really was a piece of paper with a sketch: a lamp that it was said to be of uncle Jos\u00e9 Antonio” says Rafael Salvador his grand-nephew. The lamp is one of the models unpublished<\/strong> of the architect J.A. Coderch<\/strong> and has an incredible story behind it.<\/p>\n

\"CISTER<\/a><\/p>\n

This sketch aroused the curiosity of Rafael who started as a game the development of some models that led to more models, curiosity, search for suppliers, orders of prototypes… Two years later appeared more sketches and diagrams manuscripts of the own Coderch, of what he himself called CISTER<\/a><\/strong> lamp.<\/p>\n

The game evolved into a viable model according to the available information and the interpretation of the sons of J.A. Coderch. Later TUNDS<\/strong><\/a> was created, a company that carries the edition of CISTER<\/a><\/strong> and DISA<\/a><\/strong> lamps.

\nCISTER<\/a> is part of a collection of multiple lamps. The result is a test of three or five concentric cylinders with specific proportions. The wooden slats of Oregon pine return to be present in the design giving the whole the warmth and simplicity characteristic of the designs of Coderch.<\/p>\n

We are in front of the original design that at some point between 1950 and 1970 the brilliant architect devised but until today never took the manufacture. <\/p>\n
