Aella, first created in 1968, remains one of the icons of the Leucos<\/a> lighting brand<\/strong>. For the brand, this indoor luminaire represents its vision to bring a fresher, more contemporary take on traditional hand-blown glass techniques.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Designed by Toso & Massari<\/strong>, each Aella is handcrafted by a master in the Veneto region of Italy<\/strong>. Producing a stunning cone of frozen glass in its diffuser, as if by magic, each time it is switched on, the light seems to float inside this glass<\/strong>, beautifully illuminating the space.<\/p>\n

Curiously, it is inspired by the ancient Greek word for ‘whirlwind’ as well as being the first Amazon warrior princess bold enough to charge Heracles.<\/p>\n

Today, it has been updated by the designers to include integrated LED technology<\/strong> for improved energy saving<\/strong>, table and pendant versions, as well as different size, shape and colour profiles.<\/p>\n
